Another cool find on the convention floor in Orlando was the 3-Speed offshore reel from Avet. This reel has 4.0, 2.0 and 1.0 speed settings, with the highest used when clearing lures to fight fish, and the lower gears used during various stages of the fight depending on whether you need to pump and wind and gain line quickly or if you need to buckle down and really work at winching up a straight-up-and-down tuna or billfish.
The 3-Speed Model at the show was also sporting a flashy blue-marlin paint job which is available on Avet reels for an additional fee.
