Apply to Attend Fisheries Science and Management Workshop

Apply Now: 2026 MREP Greater Atlantic Workshop (Falmouth, MA)

Dates: January 12–16, 2026  |  Location: Iris Hotel, Falmouth, Massachusetts.

A Workshop by Fishermen, for Fishermen

The Marine Resource Education Program (MREP) provides a neutral, hands-on introduction to regional fishery science and management. Tailored to the Greater Atlantic region—from North Carolina to Maine—the workshop brings together commercial, charter, and recreational fishermen with regional scientists and managers to learn how decisions are made, share insights from the water, and build lasting connections.

“Without a doubt, if a person is interested in how stocks are managed, this is the best way to get that information.”

“An excellent program that should be considered by anyone whose livelihood comes from the ocean… truly one of a kind.”

Free to Attend — Travel Reimbursed

There is no cost to attend for anyone who fishes or works in fishing-related industries. MREP reimburses travel costs and covers hotel lodging and meals for accepted participants. Space is limited, and preference will be given to applications received by November 10, 2025. Accepted participants will be notified by phone and email in late November 2025.
