Spring Family Freshwater Fishing Festival

Belmont Lake State Park will conduct the annual Spring Family Freshwater Fishing Festival. Prior to the festival, Belmont Lake will be stocked with brown,brook and rainbow trout on top of the lake’s yellow perch population, providing a perfect opportunity to introduce families and friends to the wonderful sport of freshwater fishing. The freshwater license will be suspended temporarily.
The festival is appropriate for people of all ages and activities include open fishing, fishing instruction, fly casting demonstrations, and a fish cleaning station. Children’s activities will include hands-on educational displays and a “Spring Fling” casting contest. The even will go on, rain or shine!
