Trophy Tackle is located in Babylon, NY just down the street from the town dock. Father and son duo John Nappo Sr. and John Nappo Jr. currently own the roughly 3,600 square-foot shop that’s been open since 2005.
Prior to opening the shop, Sr had owned a tackle manufacturing company while Jr was a commercial fisherman for 15 years. The shop carries everything from materials for day trippers and new anglers to the high end off shore gear that so many people craze about. “We cater to the future of the sport: children, parents and grand-parents. Young Snapper anglers and grabber are some of our favorite customers”.
The shop carry’s all the major brands of tackle for both inshore and offshore fishing. They have a specialty in offshore rigging of hollow core spectra and their own line of offshore lures as well as inshore bottom fishing rigs and tackle. They will be opening a brand new online store this upcoming August where anglers could purchase items from Costa Del Mar sunglasses to Van Staal reels and beyond.
