These things suck! Sorry, I couldn’t resist. Actually they don’t suck, they generate negative pressure and should not be confused with a ‘suction cup” custom mounting system. I have literally hung on these mounts and they won’t come off. With a few quick pumps the Select Plastics Vacumount has done an incredible job of temporarily attaching accessories to any flat surface on my boat. So far, I’ve successfully used their binocular, drink and handheld VHF holders. I mounted the binocular holder to my boat back in May, and as I write this review in October, it’s still firmly attached to the same spot.
