It’s happening! Today (05/11/14) we left the dock at 6am, Little Sister was carrying a group of 3 guys plus me. We went right to Deer Island Flats and the plan was to have at least 3/4 limits and then “go hunting.” At 830am we were already at the 3/4 limit (24 flounder) and we were releasing anything under 14 inches. There are waaayyyy more fish than last year! We then went looking for “moby flounder” and spent the rest of our time anchored in Portuguese Cove for only two 16-inchers. The fish seem to be stacked on Deer Island Flats for now and we need to wait for other spots to fill in. There is still room for Tuesday and Thursday open boat trips for people who want to catch an easy flounder limit. Call or email for reservations.
