New England

• Keeper-sized bass to 20 pounds are moving into the rivers of Connecticut to feed on river herring.
• Small keepers are being caught along with numbers of fresh schoolie stripers along the Rhode Island coast and in Narragansett Bay.
• Schoolie stripers have been reported from Buzzards Bay, the south side of the Cape, and the Barnstable Harbor area.
• Small keepers have been reported around Cape Cod river herring runs.
• The first reports of fresh schoolies have come in from Boston Harbor north to Plum Island.

OTW — this is great! I’m new to the region, if light lines for state borders were there I think it’d help my learning curve. Might help others too?

Caught a nice size schoolie last night in the Boston Harbor general area which I owe to these updates. Great magazine, happy subscriber.

I’ve heard there are stripers in the Merrimack River. Friends are catching them below the dam in Lawrence. Nothing but schoolies so far.
