Boston Harbor Flounder (Little Sister Charters)

The flounder fishing has been nothing short of spectacular! Full limits of high quality (14 inches and UP) fish are normal on every trip. Yesterday’s (June 4) last 10 fish were all over 16 inches and we were throwing 15-inch fish back to do that. There are at least 5 times the fish in Boston Harbor this year as opposed to last year. It’s funny what can happen if the draggers get out less because the winter’s weather did not permit them to fish as much.

Today (June 5) a crew from NY came out for their flounder fix. We had 31 fish that we kept in very short order and then we struggled for awhile as the fish shut down in the east wind and rain. We finally limited out but I had to stay out there for an extra 15 minutes to do it. As the afternoon charter canceled, the extra time was available. We ended up with a 20-inch flounder and several 18-inchers!
