Fishermen have already been making runs offshore to target sharks, tuna and even swordfish.

Dave at the Reel Seat in Brielle New Jersey said the Hudson Canyon has good numbers of yellowfin and bluefin, along with a few longfin.

Atlantis Canyon also produced some nice tuna catches for several boats last weekend.

An 83-inch bluefin tuna was taken east of Chatham, MA over the weekend.

Shark fishing in New Jersey is improving according to Dave at the Reel Seat.  Makos to 300 pounds have been caught, along with blue sharks and even a few threshers.
