Long Island Shark Report (6-24-14)

Last Tuesday during the Walley Oakland’s Memorial Shark tournament out of Oakland’s Marina, my 9 Year old son Anthony Vaccaro Jr. from Long Island NY boated his first Mako on the Miss White Water. We fished 39 miles SW of Shinnecock Inlet NY. The 192.5 lbs Mako inhaled a fresh blue fish filet on the far line in the slick. He was caught on a custom White Water Outfitters combo with a 50W Alutecnos set up with 50lbs line. We released three others over 100 lbs in the same day.
