Atlantic Highlands

Joe from Julian’s said the fluke fishing is it, fluke, fluke and more fluke especially in the bay. Small blues and Snapper blues are also plentiful.

Sea Tiger – sailings are now 7 days a week and fishing is great, especially for fluke.

Capt Jim on the Bing Sport Fishing said the Mud Hole is producing, plenty of fluke, Ling, cod and winter Flounder. The Hole also produced a nice Mako. Call 732-948-7735.

Bayonne

True World Tackle – fluke, blues and Croakers are being caught in the bay and in the NY waters. There is some large fishing mixed in.

Belmar

Pete at Parker Pete’s stated fluke fishing is great and many are doing well with Bucktail & Gulp combo. Fishing is great both in Shark River and outside. Tons of Snapper blues around, great to get the kids out there for some nonstop action.

Scott on the XTC reports the tile, bonito & cod fishing offshore has been good. Yellowfin & big eye tuna fishing just keeps getting better and better as well.

Steve from Skylarker Sportfishing said the sea bass, cod and ling fishing offshore is going great.  The fluke fishing remains great and some really good size fluke being caught.

Chris on the Big Mohawk that the fluke fishing is very good with fish being caught from 8 to 10 pounds. Bucktail & Gulp is combo producing limited catches.

Capt. Al of the Miss Belmar Princess said blues &bonito on the night trips keeps improving. He sails 1:30pm – 6:00pm.

Karen from the Royal Miss Belmar said there recent catch of blues, bonito and Albacore made for a great day.  A surprise catch of some Mackerel is making things very interesting. The Royal Miss Belmar is sailing nights on Friday & Saturday only 7:30pm – 2:30am.

Capt. Hank of the Golden Eagle reports plenty of fluke on the reefs. blues & bonito fishing is hot with an occasional Albacore spicing things up. The boat is sailing nights 4:30pm – 8:30pm.

Capt. Tom from the Nan Sea J informed us of his happiness with the recent catches fluke. Sea bass and ling fishing are producing limits.

Jim on the Suzie Girl said fluke and blues are abundant there are also some Albacore with more showing daily.

Capt. Ron on the Capt Cal II reports that the fluke fishing is the best and can’t get much better with big catches ranging from7 to 9 pounds. Sea bass catches are pleasing as well.

Bound Brook

Branden from Efinger’s said fluking in the bay is producing greatly with catches topping the scales in the 6 pound range. Also some big blues made a surprise showing this week in the Bay.

Bradley Beach

Dominic at The Bait Shop said Monica Pahuliz a member of the Bradley Beach Fishing Club took a nice 5.1 pound fluke. Joe Henry weighed in a 5.4 pound fluke taken from Raritan Bay.

Brielle

Eric at The Reel Seat said the fluke fishing has been great with limit catches being made constantly. Canyon fishing continues to get better with yellowfin tuna being caught mostly on a troll.

Capt. Ken from the Big Kid said he has been catching some nice Yellow Fin & Big Eye Tuna and White Marlin & Bluefish also showing up in the mix.

Hazlet

Phil at the Tackle Box reports large fluke up to 8 pounds being caught in the Bay and on the NY side. Porgy fishing is improving and blues are plentiful.

Keyport

Joe at Joey’s Bait & Tackle reports fluke fishing is great in the river with catches up to 8 pounds. Snapper blues are abundant along with crabbing, everyone doing extremely well.

Chris from the Keyport Basin said fluke is the word and can’t get much better. With that being said not only are fluke abundant, there are huge fluke mixed in.

Lake Hopatcong

Lou from Dow’s Bait & Tackle reports Stripers are it! Plenty of Bass being caught on top water baits. Plenty of Smallmouth Bass being caught as well.

Laurence Harbor

Joe from Tackle US reminded us that their fluke tournament begins August 9th please stop by or call.

Middletown

Mark from Mariners Mart said unfortunately the weekend did not help any fisherman, but the weather is now great and Fish are to be caught.

Red Bank

Bill from Pride Fishing Tackle reports fluke and more fluke. Catches are being made in the Bay and also offshore.

Robbinsville

Rob at Harry’s Adventure said fluke! fluke! fluke! Great fishing right now! Gulp is the ultimate producer.

Sea Bright

Jim at Giglios says the offshore fishing is a bit slow; however the river is loaded with blues and fluke. Crabbing remains excellent with some huge crabs mixed in.
