Lycoming County:
Pine Creek: The stream has gotten shallow, but kayaks and canoes are still able to make their way down. Most of them have only had to portage around shallow areas once during their trip.
Anglers are catching trout using slate drake dry flies and nymphs. Some trout were rising to small black midges as well.
Centre County:
Foster Joseph Sayers Dam: Anglers are catching musky, crappie and smallmouth bass.
Another bass angler caught smallmouth over the weekend using a black and blue, plastic worm, dropshot style(e.g. Weight is tied on the line below the hook. It helps hold the bait at your chosen depth). One of his bass measured in at 20” and 4lbs!
Spring Creek: More rain is on the way to the Spring Creek watershed. Get your streamers and minnows ready for some great fishing! Right after the rain take your streamer out and cast it just off of the bank. Switch up the timing of your retrieve to see what the trout want. Once you get a hit, keep the timing!

You might also want to try using some squirmy wormies, san juan worms or vladi worms. They are great flies to use when nothing else is working in muddy waters.
Clinton/W. Lycoming County:
Bald Eagle Creek: Anglers are catching smallmouth on streamer patterns. Anglers are also catching catfish on streamers!
Fishing Creek: Late evening fishing has been good! Trout are hitting on small caddis and mayfly nymphs.

West Branch Susquehanna River: Anglers are catching a channel catfish just below Lock Haven, using chicken liver and minnows. A few angler friends recently caught 7 channel catfish in one night!
Western Bradford & Sullivan Counties
The fishing has been great in the region for the past few weeks. The North Branch of the Susquehanna River has been consistently producing nice Smallmouth Bass. The lure of choice for anglers targeting Smallmouth Bass has been jigs topped with a spinner blade.
Southern Wayne County
Fishing has been sporadic at best this past week. Most anglers are catching many small panfish but were unable to locate larger fish. Now is the time of year for serious anglers to be fishing for larger fish during the evening or early morning. Sacrificing a few hours of sleep can mean the difference between not catching anything or the fish of a lifetime.
Boaters on Lake Wallenpaupack should be aware lake levels have dropped and objects that were submerged are now visible, but still pose a navigation hazard.
Wyoming County
The Susquehanna River was slightly muddy over the weekend, apparently from heavier rain than we have had in this area. Smallmouth Bass fishing was good, although on Saturday it seemed most anglers were catching smaller sized fish. The river is in great condition right now, but is forecast to rise about one foot with the rain forecasted today.
Area lakes have been productive as well. Anglers who don’t mind fishing in heavy weeds have been catching Largemouth Bass at Stevens Lake. Trout anglers fishing at night continue to do well at Lake Winola.
