Striped bass to 38 inches are still in residence in southern Maine, as far north as the Kennebec River, reported Mike Baker of Kayak Fish New England. Action has been good on topwater plugs like the Bomber Badonk-a-donk. Concentrate your efforts around the beach fronts surrounding river mouths in southern Maine. “It’s a ghost town on the beaches,” said Baker. “GET OUT THERE!”

Yes! Double digit day! One fish 31″ the rest were 24″-28″ all on white bucktiail jigs. October is becoming more exciting by the day for fall Stripers! Scarborough, ME area
Mike is an excellent guide, and he will put you on some good fish!! Theres still time for some striper action!
I want to know if it’s worth a trip over to parsons beach~Wells, say like Tues.Any reports would be welcome thanks
I have a summer home in Wells. I fished Parson beach many times. It’s best on a out going tide.
Put yourself at the mouth of Mousom River. You may run into the fly guys they will stand out in the river and do take their share of the fish. At the mouth and the beach you’ll find lots of bowling ball size rocks. Good structure. This time of year parking should be no issue. the whole shore line is very productive. Hope this helps. Good Luck
