Southeastern Pennsylvania Fishing Report | November 20, 2014

E. Berks County/N. Montgomery County

It was a picture perfect autumn day in Berks County on Thursday, November 13 for the fall trout stocking of Lake Antietam. The weather was great, the fish looked great and the water was perfect. The same truck also delivered trout to Deep Creek Lake in Montgomery County. The fish came from Huntsdale Hatchery and could not have looked better, so grab your rods and get there and enjoy some fall fishing. Keep in mind we are in the extended trout season with the daily creel limit of three fish. Regulations are available at www.fishinpa.com

Bucks County

PFBC stocked Lake Luxembourg with trout last week.

Philadelphia County/S. Montgomery County

Late fall fishing season is still happening. Catfish are the primary target of local anglers on the rivers. Channel Catfish have been taking shrimp and chicken livers. Bass are still hungry. Anglers had limited success with jigs and jigging action on spoons.

This Thanksgiving holiday, a local sportsmen club will stock trout in Stony Creek at the Norristown Farm Park. This stocking creates an opportunity for local anglers to avoid Black Friday shopping crowds and instead go trout fishing, which is a tough choice indeed. The statewide mandatory lifejacket wear is enforced as of November 1 aboard vessels less than 16 feet in length and all canoes and kayaks. Click it or ticket!

Some anglers caught Walleyes last week on the Schuylkill River at the Art Museum either early in the morning or late in the evening. Try crankbaits and live minnows.
