1. Hudson Canyon – There’s been good yellowfin tuna action in the Hudson, with some bigeye reported in the mix.

2. Wilmington and Baltimore canyons – The southern canyons are holding good numbers of yellowfin, with consistent appearances by bigeye tuna. A few wahoo have even hit the deck in the past week.

3. South of Martha’s Vineyard – Football bluefin continue to feed on sand eels south of the Vineyard. Trolling small soft plastics and spreader bars has been working best.

4. Nantucket Shoals – The shoals south-southeast of Nantucket are reported to be holding bluefin from football to giant sized.

5. The midshore waters off New Jersey and Long Island are holding good numbers of sharks, with blues, makos and threshers being caught. The threshers weighed in over the past week have been 250 to 300 pounds.

I’ve heard a lot of talk regarding big bluefin south of the dump in the shipping lanes. Also talk of yellowfin and mahi stacked up in Atlantis. Any confirmations out there?
