Slow day on the run, mostly Steelhead being hooked, with a majority of them breaking off before they could be landed. However in the last hour or so we had a large push of Steelhead move through the lower end and up in to the middle of the river (roughly to near the lower set of stairs). Clients fishing that area reported “the last hour or so made the whole day worth it”. We also have reports of a few hundred Steelhead, with a few Brown Trout mixed in, staging in the estuary. With the high winds expected tonight and possible rain, we could be in for a good day tomorrow.
