Northwest Region
Butler County
Lake Arthur
Anglers are reporting nice catches of Walleye while drift fishing the old roadbeds. They are using a simple night crawler and hook. No worm harnesses. Hybrids are biting along shore at the popular boating access areas. Best results for shoreline swipers are after 10 pm. Limit is 2 per day. Minimum size is 20 inches. Panfish are biting in cover (felled trees) along shore. A jig tipped with a minnow under a bobber works well.
Crawford County
Pymatuning Reservoir
Anglers are reporting catches of nice Largemouth Bass north of the causeway. If you can find shallow bays where the lily pads are starting to sprout, the bass are there. Anglers should try senkos, spinnerbaits, or jigs tipped with a trailer to get the bass to hit. Walleye anglers continue to do well all around the reservoir. Crappies are still hitting on various jigs tipped with grubs or minnows.
Erie County
Walnut Creek, Elk Creek, Crooked Creek, Upper Gravel Pit
At the time of this writing the western tributaries are all low and clear. Angler pressure and success is on average for all the Western Erie tributaries. Bass are in the lower stretches of Elk Creek and shoreline and boat anglers are having relative success with night time Walleyes around the creek mouths and shallow waters.
Walnut Creek Marina
Construction has begun at Walnut Creek access primarily on the western channel wall. Both the marina and channel are open for boat traffic.
Lake Pleasant
Anglers are reporting Rainbow Trout are being caught using a slip sinker with about 12 to 18 inches of line from the swivel to the bait. In the coming weeks with the clear water at Lake Pleasant the problem if fishing from shore will be that the seaweed is beginning to grow up, so a canoe might be the only option.

Non-powered watercraft such as canoes, kayaks and rowboats using Fish & Boat Commission lakes and access areas including PA State Parks lakes must display either a valid launch permit or valid boat registration.
