Conneaut Lake
Boating pressure has been busy during weekends this summer. Angles are reporting Largemouth Bass are being caught regularly throughout the lake. Wacky rigged or Texas rigged senkos have been producing the most bites for Largemouth Bass. Early morning and late evening are the perfect time to try top water baits such as: frogs, buzzbaits, etc.
Pymatuning Reservoir
Anglers are catching Walleye, Largemouth Bass, Musky, and crappies throughout the reservoir. During the hot summer season, Channel Catfish seem to bite more often than other parts of the year. Often times, a simple nightcrawler under a bobber will do the trick. A recent Fisheries Biologist Report for Pymatuning Reservoir is on the PFBC website fishandboat.com so head over and check it out.
Geneva Swamp
Anglers are reporting Bowfin are being caught. Remember they are NOT an invasive species and should be returned to the water unharmed. Throwing them into the weeds is illegal.

With the recent rains it has helped the water level but it is still low.

Recent rain events have re-energized both the fish and anglers. Anglers reported very good results this past weekend with natural bait, like minnows, giving the best results. The bass, which had been lethargic, seem to be feeding again.
Wyoming County
Much needed rain brought the Susquehanna River level up slightly last week. Anglers are having success with Smallmouth Bass and catfish on the river. Lake Winola has been producing good catches of bass and trout this past week as well. Panfish anglers found the fish willing to bite and providing a lot of action at Ford’s Lake, Lackawanna County, recently. Everything is as it should be for mid-summer fishing in the area.
Western Bradford & Sullivan County
After some local rain last week the Susquehanna River jumped quickly but has started to fall quickly. Many anglers were glad to see the level come up and have been out fishing since. Those finding success have been using black and dark green jigs and lures.

Tioga County
Water levels are still terrible. The rain we have had is not helping anywhere.
Bass fishing has been good on all the local lakes. Fish are being caught using a variety of methods in very shallow to moderately deep water. Anglers are doing well with creature baits and plastic worms near weed beds, timber, and artificial structure. Many are finding a great morning and evening topwater bite too, using frogs, buzzbaits, and poppers. Crankbaits and dropshot presentations are working in deeper water. The most productive soft plastic colors include green pumpkin, watermelon, perch, baby bass, and other shades of green. In areas of dirtier water, black/blue, black/red, and dark greens with flake have been good. A few walleyes and stripers are being caught on Hammond, Tioga, and Cowanesque by bass anglers too, using the same presentations.
Catfish are being caught in Tioga and Hammond Lakes, as well as the Tioga spillway. Chicken livers, cut bait, and live shiners are all working. Most of the catfish have been young ones ranging from 10-18 inches; but a few 20-25 inchers are being caught, too. Anglers have caught nice bullheads in all three areas, as well.

Southeastern Region

There was a break in the heat over the past few days, but it is expected to be hot again in the coming week. Try fishing early in the morning or at dusk and after dark. Try early in the morning or at dusk and into the evening. Large catfish will still take baitfish, chicken livers or eels in the Delaware River & lower Schuylkill River. Anglers on the Delaware River could catch Striped Bass with these same offerings.
Try tossing top water or weedless-rigged lures for black bass near weed beds. There are plenty on the Delaware River this summer.
Lehigh County
Anglers are using rubber grub like swim baits and small jerk baits to catch Smallmouth Bass near Treichlers Bridge in the Lehigh River.
