Hey sorry to hear your not getting any fishing info for New Hampshire but I used to give you info at Suds and soda and I can tell you we are still catching big hog stripers right off the beaches try Wallis Sands areas of rock they’re traveling down and we’re still getting them on top water plugs. Freshwater bass fishing has been Ok. with the low water levels all of our favorite structure has been exposed and we can’t find them very easy. But people don’t hesitate to get out on the shore with an 8-9 footer and chuck a plug. From Rye to plum there’s more to come now get out there and fish!

I think it’s bs that this publications has thrown in the towel on reports during the height of the fall run? How can you pride yourselves on providing solid information to local fishermen if you don’t report on the best fishing of the yeah in nh and the northshore. Seems a bit odd to me

Totally agree. What’s good to fish for in NH salt this time of year.

They didn’t throw in the towel they are not getting any info from the bait shops or any of the readers. So there is nothing to report.

This morning was solid. With temps just around 40 degrees and water temps still comfortable for the migration, I Was able to find a good margin of fish between 15″-41″ near a very popular beach in NH. All fish were going bananas for the Cordell in blue and white. Every cast , had a follow and had some very acrobatic 20lb-30lb class fish coming clear out of the water for the offering ! I lost count when the ticker rolled over 40… They’re still hanging tough up here guys, so don’t pack up the rods yet!

Trout season in Vermont closed on October 31st for nearly all lakes, ponds and streams, with the exception of Lake Champlain which is open all year.

  5. VTD

VT Regular trout season closed Oct. 31, but check Regs for C&R…

Been a subscriber for many years. This crap of no reports from the North seems to happen every year. If you want to deer hunt then give up this position because paying subscribers deserve better than this total lack of commitment from OTW Northern states reporters. Get of your ass and as Bill Belechick says,”Do Your Job!”.

    Amen brother!
You know “we” could continue this ourselves, as long as we don’t blow up our secret spots. Just encouragement to get out there and fish. It helps to know when people are successful. …just sayin

No excuses of lack of reports !

If you can’t give us reports how about some tips and how to’s on beach and fishing from shore for those of us not fortunate enough to have a boat. Surf casting, baits, locations etc. We did pay for a full subscription and we are getting shut off because it is cold out. This is my first year subscribing I enjoyed it until October but now I am very disappointed. I will have to see what happens before I renew. Come on guys you don’t have a part time job.

Send in a report so OTW can have info to share. The authors of these reports are members of the fishing community just like you and me. They don’t get paid. Some of you took the time to write. Share what you know…..don’t just gripe. That’s how fishing reports work. Be sure to give specifics on where you fished, time of tide, water levels, GPS coordinates, etc…. For the record, here in southern Maine there is nothing to report on November 20, 2016. Weather is cold, rainy, rivers are full of leaves, striped bass have left.

General Regs lakes and ponds are still open for brook, rainbow and browns. Large browns are moving into shallow gravel areas. Thompson Colorado and Little Tigers in gold are working well for me.

  12. Ron F

Sorry, forgot to say “New Hampshire”. I’m up in White Mtn Region. Dawn and dusk best for the browns.

To bad the Maine fish and Game wont put some good Blue, Channel ao Flathead catfish in some of the southern ponds to warm for trout. It would go a long way in helping the fishing in this state and feed a lot of hungry people. They would rather spend millions on some little trout which die before they can get them in a river or lake.
