This might be a good weekend for many of you saltwater anglers to organize your gear and what you might want to buy this upcoming show season. It is a good time also to get reels serviced and rods repaired so you are not waiting until the last minute when the weather starts to get nice. Don’t forget to go and get your 4×4 and sport fishing permits as well, avoid the long lines by doing it sooner rather then later.
I have also heard of and saw pictures that people have tagged On The Water on Instagram of very good ice fishing action on Long Island. If you are new to ice fishing stop in a shop before heading out to make sure you have everything you need from rigs and gear to safety equipment.
