In Brooklyn at Stella Maris Bait and Tackle, anglers have been finding the big bass trolling mojos along the Shrewsbury Rocks. Closer to home in Jamaica Bay, live lining bunker has been doin the trick for the bass. Porgy fishing has been good in the Far Rockaway area. The fluke fishing is still going strong with both bait and bucktails.

Striped bass fishing in the back bays around the bridges has been doing well with anglers clam chumming. Bluefishing seems to be best in the area at sunrise.

At Bay Park Fishing Station, the reports of bass and fluke have come in almost everyday this past week. They got a report from the Fish Hawk who said trolling white TGT bunker spoons in 50 feet of water South of the Roundhouse, Capt. Lenny landed this 38.60 lb Striped Bass. A mix of schoolie stripers and bluefish continue to keep light tackle anglers busy on the Peconics and Gardiners Bay. The fish are starting to move out of the deeper inlets and out on the flats.
