Lake Arthur
Anglers are catching Hybrid Striped Bass throughout the shallow bays in Lake Arthur. Anglers are catching them on the normal bait such as white bombers and Alewife, but also on live bait such as nightcrawlers and minnows.
Neshannock Creek
Anglers are catching a large number of smallmouth bass on rubber worms and tube jigs.
Crawford County
French Creek
Anglers are catching Smallmouth Bass on various soft plastic lures including tubes, grubs, and ned rigs throughout this stretch. Anglers are catching Northern Pike using live bait and stickbaits.
Venango County
Allegheny River
Anglers are catching Smallmouth Bass on tubes and other soft plastics. Anglers are catching Channel Catfish, Flathead Catfish, and Bullhead Catfish throughout the Venango county section of the Allegheny River. Anglers are catching a few Muskellunge and Northern Pike with live bait being the bait of choice.
Justus Lake
Anglers are catching trout and smallmouth bass in 25-40 foot of water.
Kahle Lake
Anglers are catching crappie and largemouth bass. Anglers are using jigs as their bait of choice.

Lycoming County
Rose Valley Lake
PFBC and local partners, recently completed habitat structures and placed them within the lake. Thank you to all partners who assist in building and placing habitat structures!
Anglers are catching Yellow Perch, Bluegill, bass and Walleye. Target drop offs, habitat structures and woody debris.
Clinton County
Fishing Creek
Fishing Creek is back down to good water levels. Fishing will be great this weekend!
Anglers are catching trout using nymphs (dark/golden stone flies;green weenie; scuds; sunken ants). Anglers are also catching trout using scuplin patterns. Target the banks and soft edges for best results.
West Branch Susquehanna River
Anglers are catching bass using crankbaits, plastics, poppers and small, white or chartreuse streamer patterns. Anglers are also seeing a few Musky follows and are catching a few, large fallfish.
Centre County
Spring Creek
Spring Creek is in good shape for the coming weekend.
Anglers are catching trout using walt’s worms and small nymphs (e.g. black zebra midge, green weenie, scuds, sunken ants). Bring along a few terrestrials (e.g. beetle #12-18; ant #12-18).
Olive or black streamer patterns #6-10 will also work.
Northeastern Region
Western Bradford and Sullivan Counties
After the recent flash flooding that impacted fishing in the district, anglers are targeting smaller trout ponds and lakes and streams that receded quickly following the rain.
Many anglers are catching perch at Hunters Lake using a variety of baits.
Carbon County
Most of the streams in the district are flowing higher than normal due to recent rain events. Although the Pohopoco Creek has been flowing higher than normal, anglers report catching trout downstream of Beltzville Lake.
Anglers fishing Mauch Chunk Lake continue to report good success catching bass; however, most of the bass are less than the minimum size of fifteen inches. Mauch Chunk Lake is governed by the Big Bass Program Special Regulations program. Boat anglers at Mauch Chunk Lake also report catching nice size Bluegills, crappie and perch. Waxworms seem to work well catching the Bluegills, while a small jig tipped with a flathead minnow worked well for catching crappie and perch. Catfish are being caught during the evenings off the shoreline at Mauch Chunk Lake near boat launch A.
Boat anglers report good success catching bass at Beltzville Lake. The bass action has been good near the powerline area of the lake and the upper reaches of the Pohopoco Creek bay area of the lake. Striped Bass action remains good during the evening and early morning hours on the lake. Live bait and chicken livers seem to work well. A few anglers report catching Muskellunge; however, most were less than the required minimum size. Boat activity remains heavy during the weekends at Beltzville Lake.
Rafters and kayakers are reminded to check river conditions before venturing out on the Lehigh River. The Lehigh River has been flowing very high due to recent storm events and a number of reportable boating accidents have occurred, including river rescues. Please make sure your watercraft is designed for the river and that you are capable of navigating the river. Always wear your life jacket and have a sound producing device, such as a whistle or air horn on board your watercraft. Proper life jackets and a sound producing device are legal requirements. Do not raft or kayak the river by yourself. Many strainers have occurred on the river due to the higher flow levels. Strainer can lead to a serious injury or even death if you get caught in one.
Southeastern Region
The rivers and creeks in the Southeast Region are running high and muddy. Anglers who are wading, and boaters should be very cautious on the water. You can check flow levels for your local waters on the USGS River gauge system online. When fishing these turbid waters, try casting dark lures or lures with some flash.
