The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife will begin their trout stocking program any day now.

Fishing Report for Cape Cod

The fishing this past week has been uneventful to say the least. With a vicious cold snap, the skim ice seems to have returned over night. The few members of the OTW crew who found open water came up empty handed.
The shops remain silent with no one coming in to purchase shiners or reporting fish if they have been fortunate enough to find some.

Fishing Forecast for Cape Cod

As dismal and frozen as the Cape is right now, there is still hope! The cold weather will not last too much longer and the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife will begin their trout stocking program any day now. I know cabin fever is at an all time high, but April is right around the corner and will bring bent rods and happy anglers.

Trout bite has actually been on at the cape, find open water and put the time in?

Sometimes you can’t wait for Mother Nature to melt ice… put some waders on and break some ice, the fish are there and hungry. I’ve Been pretty happy down the cape.
