Largemouth bass and muskies continue to feed heavily ahead of winter while both good water color and levels are keeping trout active and hungry.

Clinton County

Lake Arthur

Anglers are catching largemouth bass and yellow perch using minnows and worms. Anglers are also using black and blue chatterbaits to catch the largemouth bass.

Erie County

Lake Erie

Anglers are catching Lake Trout in shallow water between North East and Shades Beach. Anglers are using blade baits, crankbaits, and trolling for these big trout when the conditions allow.

Neshannock Creek

Anglers in the delayed harvest/Keystone Select Waters are catching trout using spinning lures. Anglers are having the best success using all black or all white. Fly anglers are catching trout on wooly bugger flies.

Warren County

Allegheny River

Anglers are catching smallmouth bass around Betts Park by the Route 6 bridge. Anglers are catching nice size muskellunge near the Buckaloons area on the river. Anglers are catching smallmouth bass near the Tidioute Access Area using grubs as bait.

Kinzua Reservoir

Anglers are catching Walleye around Sugar Bay on the Kinzua Reservoir.

Northcentral Region

Clinton County

West Branch Susquehanna River

Anglers are catching Musky using live bait, lures and large flies.

Bald Eagle Creek

Anglers are catching trout using lures and streamer patterns.

Fishing Creek

The water temperature is in the 40s. The water is clear and flowing at an average level for this time of year.

Anglers are catching trout using nymph patterns including peach/orange egg, flashback pheasant tail, Frenchie, hares ear and large stonefly nymphs. A few anglers are catching trout using streamer patterns that are black or olive.

Lycoming County

Pine Creek

Anglers are catching trout using nymphs, streamers and egg patterns. Fish the deep pools and runs.

West Branch Susquehanna River

Anglers are catching Musky using live bait, lures and large fly patterns.

Centre County

Spring Creek

The water temperature is holding in the 40s. The water level and color are great for fishing this time of year.

Anglers are catching trout using peach/orange egg patterns, sow bugs, scuds, walt’s worm and bead head pheasant tails.

Anglers are also catching trout using streamer patterns as well. Streamer colors that are working include olive or black patterns.
