Crawford County
Tamarack Lake
There are to be ZERO boats on the water until its full. This goes for waterfowl hunting as well. You may hunt, but you can’t do it from a boat.
Erie County
Lake Erie
Anglers are catching Walleye, Steelhead, and Lake Trout in Lake Erie using spoons and crawler harnesses. The docks at the Northeast Marina and Shades Beach have been removed.
Forest County
Allegheny River
Walleye and Northern Pike fishing should be productive on the Tionesta pool of the Allegheny River. Anglers are catching Walleye and Northern Pike from boats and along the shore near the boat ramp and at the point of the island. Hunters and anglers are reminded that they must have on board their watercraft, a wearable PFD for each person on board the watercraft. Hunters using motorboats are reminded that they must have all firearms unloaded while the motor is in use.
Tionesta Lake
Musky fishing is generally productive throughout the fall and will continue until the lake freezes. Trolling along the shoreline seems to be the most productive method.
Tionesta Outflow
Musky, Walleye, and Northern Pike fishing is productive near the wall and the campground side. Downstream of the wall there is a fishing trail that provides access to the creek. Anglers are reminded that they must have a trout/salmon permit to fish in Tionesta Creek, from the outflow to the confluence with the Allegheny River. The trout/salmon permit is always required regardless of fishing for or keeping trout.
Spring Creek
The Marienville Rod and Gun Club stocked Spring Creek with adult trout in October. Anglers are reminded that the daily limit is now three trout per day and a trout permit is required to keep trout.

Carbon County
Hunting season is underway, and most streams are flowing higher than normal. There is little to no fishing pressure on the district’s trout stocked streams. However, anglers fishing off the shores of Beltzville Lake near the boat rental cove have been catching striped bass. Most of the striped bass were caught on chicken livers. Perch action was good at the Preachers Camp boat access area. Live minnows worked well.
Anglers fishing Mauch Chunk Lake have been catching bass. However, most bass caught were less than the minimum size of 15 inches. Mauch Chunk Lake is under Big Bass Program Special Regulations.
Boaters are reminded that persons onboard a watercraft less than 16 foot in length and on all canoes and kayaks must wear a US Coast Guard Approved wearable life jacket during the cold winter months from November 1st through April 30th. Boaters are also reminded that the regulatory buoys such as Slow No Wake, Water Ski Zone have been removed from Beltzville Lake for the winter season. Although the buoys have been removed, the regulations in the regulatory zones are still in effect and enforced. Maps indicating the regulatory zones at the lake are posted at each boat ramp.
Wyoming County
Panfish and Largemouth Bass have been biting on nightcrawlers at Stevens Lake. A trio of anglers from a boat recently caught great numbers of Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, and a few Black Crappie.
The Susquehanna River remains high and muddy due to recent rains. An alternative to fishing the high and muddy river for Walleye anglers has been Lake Carey. Anglers fishing Lake Carey have caught a few nice sized Walleye on jigs.
Pike & Wayne Counties
Anglers report increased activity on Lake Wallenpaupack catching perch, pickerel and smallmouth bass using crankbaits in the shallower areas.

Anglers are reminded that fall is the time of year when Brook and Brown Trout spawn. When fishing, make sure you are mindful of where you step to avoid stepping on trout egg nests, also known as trout redds. The gravel in a trout redd will appear light in color/clean gravel. Most look like oval or round areas of clean gravel. Some are not much bigger than a frying pan size, others may be larger.
Clinton County
