Cape Cod Fishing Report – December 3, 2020

Freshwater anglers continue to find solid trout and largemouth bass action on the Cape.

Eddy Stahowiak caught a nice rainbow trout in Falmouth this past week on an Al’s Goldfish Lure.

On the saltwater side of things, there were no striped bass or tautog reports. However, freshwater anglers continue to find solid trout and largemouth bass action on the Cape.

Cape Cod Fishing Report

Derek, at Red Top Sporting Goods in Buzzards Bay, says largemouth bass fishing has been pretty good at night with large custom swimbaits worked on top or slightly below the surface.

Amy, at Sports Port Bait & Tackle in Hyannis, says the trout fishing has been great and many people took advantage of the warm stretch of weather. One angler was fishing Wakeby Pond with shiners and caught a nice smallmouth bass in addition to several trout.

Eastman’s Sport & Tackle in Falmouth, says most people are targeting trout and largemouth bass. Anglers are catching trout on shiners, worms, Thomas Spoons, and Rooster Tails. The shop says one angler did well at Deep Pond trolling for trout in a kayak.

Cape Cod Fishing Forecast

Saturday: High of 49, breezy, and cooler with rain.

Sunday: High of 45, strong winds up to 40-mph.

The upcoming weekend will be cooler in comparison to last, but the trout and largemouth bite should continue to hold steady for anyone looking to fish. Try worms, shiners, small Kastmasters, Thomas Spoons, and Rooster Tails. Derek at Red Top Sporting Goods says Mary’s Pond in Rochester is a good option.
