Anglers have been fishing many local township ponds, as well as Minsi Lake and East Bangor Dam, all located within the county. In talking with different anglers, many don’t realize just how many smaller ponds are open to the public.
It might be a good time to check out your townships or boroughs open spaces maps. Many municipalities have purchased small parks and ponds that are open to the public. Also, it’s a great time to fish some of the county’s streams. Martins Creek, for example, has been fishing well with many wild Brown Trout-taking nymph patterns. Lastly, remember if you want to take a smaller watercraft out on a lake or river to wear your lifejacket, it can save a life!
