Last week we decided to switch things up and fish from kayaks. We are relatively new to kayak fishing and we figured it would be a fun and effective way to fish. The conditions seemed to be perfect and we couldn’t wait to catch some stripers.
Soon after we launched our kayaks we were on fish. Though our first striper wasn’t very big it was start and gave us some momentum. As the tide continued to go out, we worked our way out of the inlet and to the mouth. We figured the bait would be rushing out of the inlet and larger bass would be there waiting to feed on all the bait. Sure enough we hooked up on a few more stripers much larger in size at the mouth of the inlet. All around us we heard fish slapping at the surface of the water.
We found ourselves amongst a striped bass frenzy. We cast our lines towards the swirls and it seemed like we couldn’t miss. Every cast we caught a striper and every fish just kept getting larger. Time seemed to just stop when we were catching fish. We didn’t have any worries and all we wanted to do was just keep fishing. That was until our parents called and said they were on their way to pick us up. We didn’t want to stop fishing because we were having a blast catching fish after fish. Thankfully we convinced one of our fathers to fish with us for ten minutes and next thing he knew he found himself catching fish and then none of us wanted to stop fishing. We continued to fish until it got dark and we couldn’t see our lines. At the end of the night we caught over twenty stripers. That night was one of those fishing nights that will make you appreciate how much fun fishing is and how much you can’t wait to get back on the water.

it might be a good idea to wear a pfd next time you go out.
Great video though!!
wheres your pfd, try it out next time
