Getting the Gear

In the Restoration Files: Part II, featured in the February Issue of On The Water Magazine, you’ll read how Neal Larsson decided on which items would make the Black Watch one of the baddest fishing vessels in the Northeast.

After discussing our project with companies such as Bose, Clarion, ITT/Jabsco and ShadowCaster, they helped us decide which products would be best for the refit.

As the new gear trickled into the office over the summer, Neal and I tore into the packaging like a couple of kids on Christmas Morning. We checked out and photographed each new product before packing it in the truck and taking down to C&C for installation.

Though it doesn’t seem like it now with all the snow outside, fishing season is just around the corner, and the Black Watch is right on schedule to be splashed in time to intercept the first spring stripers arriving on Cape Cod.
