Boating provides many thrilling experiences. But perhaps no boating experience beats the thrill of feeling a tug on the end of your fishing line and the rush of adrenaline as you reel in an underwater beast.

Whether you’re lake fishing for bass or offshore fishing for tuna, the freedom to hunt down and catch fish is one of the best things about boating. To get the most out of the experience, you need a great fishing boat. And if you’re an experienced angler looking to upgrade your boat, or a landlubber looking to take the boating plunge, there will be plenty of fishing boats to choose from at the upcoming Greenwich Boat Show.

The 2016 Greenwich Boat Show will be held April 2 and 3, from 10 am to 4 pm each day, at the Greenwich Water Club in Cos Cob, Connecticut. It’s the only in-water boat show that offers free sea trials, and its location along the Mianus River gives boaters easy access to test out multiple boats on the open waters of Long Island Sound. This year’s show will have plenty of boats to try, with more than 110 boats representing 43 brands from 19 of the best dealers in the region.

The show promises to be a big hit among anglers, who will have a huge selection of some of the industry’s best fishing boats to explore. They’ll be able to test boats from Robalo, known for their high-quality, family fishing boats, and Regulator, makers of some of the world’s best sportfishing vessels. For anglers who want to fish in style and luxury, boats from Everglades will be there, as will innovative boats from Cape Horn and Sea Pro. Award-winning Scout Boats, known for their cutting-edge design and quality, will have models available, and well-built, affordable fishing boats from Sea Fox will also be there.

Boats from Grady White and Pursuit, companies known for building great cruising vessels as well as fishing boats, will be at the show. Stylish, versatile boats from Edgewater will be on hand, as will the legendary, unsinkable Boston Whaler. Fishermen will also get to try durable, affordable fishing boats from Release and Sea Fox. And for anglers who like the stability of a dual hull, there will be boats from World Cat.

Of course, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Besides fishing boats, the Greenwich Boat Show will feature a variety of other boats, including luxury, cruising and family boats. To secure a chance to test boats at the show, attendees should schedule a sea trial in advance online by visiting the show’s website at www.greenwichboatshow.com.

Also this year, boaters get a chance to win one of two great raffles offered before the show. Raffle winners receive either a Garmin eTrex handheld GPS receiver or a free overnight stay at the Cos Cob Inn on Saturday, April 2, letting the winner enjoy the boat show the entire weekend. Results of the raffle will be announced on March 29. And, for the first time, Manhattan Lamborghini will be at the show with two of the newest Lamborghini models on the market.
