ICAST 2019: G. Loomis IMX Pro Blue Saltwater Rods

G. LOOMIS – IMX-PRO Blue Saltwater Rods
$350 to $385

Though released this spring, the new G. Loomis IMX-PRO Blue Series will get a more official rollout at ICAST. These rods were designed with the Northeast’s inshore saltwater fisheries in mind, specifically stripers and blues, fluke, black sea bass, and blackfish.

The six conventional and four spinning models are each built with the ideal action for our species and waters. Among the 10 models, fluke fishermen will find the sensitive, 7-foot 843C MF ideal for bouncing bucktails or popcorn rigs.

The 845C M has a more moderate action perfect for drifting eels or live-lining bunker and has the necessary backbone for steering big stripers away from structure. The extra-fast 842S XF casts light lures a long way, making it a top pick for albies, bonito, or schoolie stripers. The extra length and the medium-heavy power of the 904C M was designed with big blackfish in mind, and the 903C MF has a little less power, which makes it a great all-season rod, capable of ocean-side fluke and sea bass in the summer and tog and stripers in the fall and winter.
