Justin Hansen with a beautiful bass caught on a fly last weekend. 13 year old Michael Barrows Jr. after a very successful morning at the ditch. Jack Keeley shows off a nice striper taken last week off of Hyannis. With a little help from some friendly fishermen nearby, Walter landed this fine 27-pound bass in the Cape Cod Canal and weighed it at M and D’s in Wareham. Frank Torbey took this 40 incher with a live eel on Bishop and Clerks last Sunday. 8-year-old Ava Range caught this 31-inch Barnstable Harbor striper, her biggest ever, on a live mackerel. OTW insider Capt Bobby Rice with a Bluefin caught June 5th. Brendan Straight caught this keeper striper on a Sandwich beach using a Roberts Hammer Lure. Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine While fishing for black-backs in Hingham Bay this week, Matt “Magic Moobs” Marascia landed this 28” ocean pout in 20’ of water while soaking a worm off of Captain Erich Schutz’s boat, the Colonial Ordinance II . Large flounder are biting actively near Quincy. Matthew Zimmerman sent in this photo of a 37" bass, caught on live Mackerel off Cape Ann. Patrick Sachetta with a nice bass caught at Spot Pond in Stoneham. Capt. Russ Burgess pulled a 50-pounder out of a daytime blitz last week and went on to win the Boston Harbor Striper Shootout on Saturday. Jeffrey Allen posted this photo on the Surfland Bait and Tackle Facebook page on Sunday. Ryan Humphrey caught this 28" on Saturday morning from the beach around Pine Point in Scarborough, ME. Sean Foley shared this photo of a Boston Harbor striper on the On The Water Facebook page Matt "Magic Moobs" Marascia on his first flounder trip in Hingham Bay this week. Dave Panarello of Malden took this harbor bass on a mackerel Wednesday. The next day he would get a 40-pounder! Kayak fishing for flounder in Hull for Chris Howie has been pretty good! Paul Burns used a live mackerel to catch this Salem Sound striper on June 1. Live-lining mackerel off the North Shore tempted this fine striper for John Langan. Rhode Island & Connecticut Guide Chris Willi of Block Island Fishworks reported great light-tackle and fly-fishing action around the island this week. Jon Michonski caught this drifting buck tails under a full moon at the Race on board the Blackhawk on June 22nd. The fish sizes up at 50 pounds 50 inches. Pat Vogt with a 30-pound striped bass taken casting along the shore aboard Reel Cast Charters. Johnathan Lewie with his 55.1lb striper on June 16th, 2013. Pamela Nellis from Minnesota caught this beautiful striped bass while fishing with Rock and Roll Charters out of Clinton, Connecticut. Randy Levitt with a 35.8lber on June 9th out of Snug Harbor Charles Myers caught a trio of bass off Watch Hill last Sunday Joe Diorio nailed this 51-inch fish on a live eel at 8am this past weekend. Rob Ferraro's 53.5lb striper, entered into the Striper Cup on June 6th. Claudio Iacucci caught this chunky 30-pound striper from the Housatonic River in Connecticut. New York/Long Island Shark fishing on Long Island's South Shore is in full swing. Saturday saw many makos and threshers being taken. Frank Columbus with a beautiful East End Bass that measured 44.5 inches and topped the scale at 52 pounds! Hyper Striper Charters out of Atlantic Highlands has been producing limits of striped bass consistently all week. Fluking action has been great aboard the Mohawk. There are some giants swimming in Cape Cod waters! Jeffrey Richardson, first mate aboard the F/V Cynthia C out of Sandwich , shared this photo of a 112-inch bluefin taken last week. Captain Dom Petrarca of Coastal Charters Sportfishing made it out on Thursday morning and landed this 74-inch bluefin tuna on spinning gear. Captain Eric Stewart had a nice start to the season. Fish Chatham Charters put a 75-inch tuna in the boat over the weekend.
