LiveTarget’s new line of ICT baits are its most realistic lures yet. ICT stands for Injected Core Technology. In these baits, a lifelike Inner-Core is constructed with realistic forage profiles and vibrant colors then encapsulated in a clear, durable Exo-Skin, which generates the action without sacrificing the realism. Because the Inner-Core is surrounded by a transparent shell, the lure can exactly replicate the look of the species it’s emulating without losing the fish-attracting action. The transparent Exo-Skin also adds weight, which makes the baits easier to cast while maintaining that small baitfish profile.

Slow-Roll Shiner
Traditional paddletail swimbaits are big on action, but low on realism. The ICT Slow-Roll Shiner is unquestionably the most realistic paddletail swimbait on the market. It looks great for largemouth bass and smallmouth, but would be a great imitation of a silverside for picky stripers on small bait.

Albies anyone? No fish in our waters is as finicky about which lures it will strike as the false albacore. The Ghost Tail Minnow is one of the most realistic representations of silversides or bay anchovies that we’ve seen.
Though designed for drop-shot fishing for largemouth and smallmouth, rigged weightless, the Ghost Tail Minnow (thanks to the added heft from the transparent Exo Skin and tail) should cast well enough to land into breaking schools of albies, and will match-the-hatch better than any other baits currently on the market.

LiveTarget has also released hard baits in the ICT series. The Flutter Sardine is designed to be fished with a lift-and-drop retrieve, the transparent wings at the head of the bait providing and enticing flutter action while the realistic inner core flashes like a wounded baitfish. This bait is a dead ringer for a juvenile menhaden, and is available in sizes up to 1½ ounce, making it a promising bait to cast at fall stripers keyed in on peanut bunker. There’s also a freshwater version, the Flutter Shad, with colors aimed at largemouth and smallmouth bass.

What wide-bodied classic spoons had in action and castability, they lacked in realism. With the Erratic Shiner, LiveTarget has created the first-ever anatomically precise spoon. The transparent outer shell provides extra weight for casting and a wide wobbling, darting action, while the life-like inner core provides flash and a realistic baitfish profile.

The ICT technology in the Freestyle Frog makes it effective both above and below the surface. The twin-tail Exo Skin provide action without altering the frog’s natural profile. Rigged Weedless, the Freestyle Frog will draw savage strikes from largemouths lurking in thick summer vegetation.

Makes sense but… Fish don’t rely on sight only so can’t they sense the profile of a lure based off the water its displacing even if its clear?
