New Value in Offshore Spinning - the Van Staal VM275

The Van Staal VM150 offered inshore and surf fishermen a reel that lived up to Van Staal’s reputation for toughness, but at a lower price. In 2014, offshore anglers will be able to experience the same value and toughness in the Van Staal VM275.

The VM275 holds 400 yards of 80-pound braid, takes in 42 inches of line with each crank of the reel handle, and has a smooth, strong drag that was battle-tested on big Cape Cod bluefin as the reel was being designed. The Van Staal VM275 is available now, at a price of $599.

It is funny that you rate the reel so highly when reading an Alan Hawke review he says it is not worth the money.
