Connecticut Angler Lands 609-Pound Tuna

Connecticut angler Jill Muller fought and landed a huge North Carolina bluefin tuna while fishing with Capt. Danny Wadsworth out of Oregon Inlet. The day’s party had been enjoying outstanding bluefin action when the 609-pound, 102-inch long giant slammed a trolled bait. It took her more than two hours to get the fish to the boat.

Wadsworth said Muller – along with Steve Donovan, Stephen Donovan and Michelle Muller – had caught several tuna in the 300- to 400-pound range before Jill Muller’s fish hit.
