2013 Hooked on the Hudson

The Hudson River Fishermen’s Association in conjunction with the Palisades Interstate Park New Jersey, is holding their twenty-eighth annual consecutive Hooked on the Hudson, www.stripedbassderby.com/HOH/.  This event is designed to introduce people to the Hudson River and its environment, on Saturday, May11, at Ross Dock picnic area from 8AM to 2PM, rain or shine.  Directions to Ross Dock can be found at www.njpalisades.org.  Visit with our area environmental groups.  The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Division 10 will make available information on clean boating practices and will provide games and giveaways for children.  At the ramp they will be giving free Vessel Safety Checks. There is a fishing contest and casting contest and fish tagging.  Fishing requires anyone over 15 years old have a NJ Salt Water Permit, free at www.nj.gov/dep/saltwaterregistry .  We supply tackle and bait free or bring your own.  Barbeque lunch and drinks are available.
