Two ideal locations on the famous Cape Cod Canal are on tap this weekend for the fifth stop for Shimano’s ‘Surf Crew’ to introduce Shimano’s new ‘Long Cast Surf System.’ Shimano surf expert Roy Leyva will be beach side at Railroad Bridge in Bourne, Mass. on Saturday, and then at the Bulkheads in Sandwich for both events. Anglers can test to see how much more casting distance they achieve when using one of the new Aero Technium XS-C, Ultegra CI4+ XSB or Ultegra XS-C spinning reels, rigged on a new Tiralejo surf rod.
Saturday’s event – June 28 – is from 10am until 12:30pm. Anglers will see the ‘Surf Crew’ setup near the Railroad Bridge parking lot.
Sunday’s event – June 29 – is also from 10am until 12:30pm. The demo activities take place at the Bulkheads – near the Freezer Road parking lot. (on Ocean Drive).
Shimano’s new ‘Long Cast Surf System’ tackle will soon be available from select tackle dealers up and down the East Coast. For more information on the reels and rods, visit fish.shimano.com.
