Chesapeake Bay Striper Report

Most of the big bass have left the bay, but there are a few stragglers left behind.

Delaware Bay Striper Report

Same story in the Delaware Bay, the large fish have made their way to the ocean and are feeding along the beaches and inlets in South Jersey.

New Jersey Striper Report

Big stripers are feeding in the inlets in Southern New Jersey, and in the ocean waters off the central and northern coast. Stripers up to 58 pounds were reported this week from the boats and fish to 40-plus-pounds have been reported from the surf. The mix of post-spawn Delaware Bay and Chesapeake fish are contributing to the large number of large stripers in New Jersey right now.

New York Striper Report

Big stripers are being caught on the western end of Long Island, with fish to 50 pounds reported this week. Some fish are dropping out of the Hudson River, but there is still some spawning activity. The post-spawn Hudson fish typically move through Long Island Sound, and could account for the big bass being found in the western sound this week.

Large stripers haven’t quite made it to Montauk yet, but plenty of keeper-sized fish and larger are on the East End, in the bays, inlets, and along the beaches.

Cape Cod/ Massachusetts Striper Report

Cape Cod still has plenty of schoolies and keeper-sized fish, but large fish have been tougher to come by. Most fishermen are reporting bass to 34 inches in Buzzards Bay and along the South Side, with more reports of keeper bass coming from Cape Cod Bay.

Knocked out a couple of firsts the other day. Got this guy on the salt for the first time ever and got him on his first schoolie stripers! After Graeme felt the first bite he couldn’t put the rod down! “I can see how this is addicting,” he said after releasing his first catch. After his first trip, he’s eager to get back out and find the larger fish! The weather was not in our favor so we opted to stick to the backwaters of onset harbor, shell point, buttermilk bay and broad cove. Lots of bait in the area. Average water temp has warmed up to around 57 degrees. We’re looking forward to an amazing season with veterans this year on our Northcoast 190. The signs of life have been growing by the day as the weather gets warmer. It’s just getting started! ???#fishingistherapy @g_carlton @northcoastboats

Decent bass are now in the mix throughout the rest of Massachusetts with the South Shore rivers and Boston ledges giving up mid-30-inch stripers.
