New State Records for King Mackerel and Bigeye Tuna

This year we have TWO new State Records in the Saltwater Derby.

This past weekend the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries celebrated the best of the best at their 2018 Saltwater Derby Awards Ceremony, at the New England Boat Show.

Two new State Records were caught in 2018.
Congratulations to Zak Potter for his 9 pound 14 ounce King Mackerel! An incredible catch.

To see some more King Mackerel, watch here to see On The Water’s Andy Nabreski run into a school off of Cape Cod!

The second fresh record was a massive 319 pound 5 ounce Bigeye Tuna reeled in by Daniel Bliss.

Amazing catches and congratulations to both anglers!
