As of March 11, 2021, the Striper plate is in the production phase and you will get your plates SOON according to the RMV.
As Covid restrictions are still in place, the RMV will contact you when your plates are ready with details on how the plate will be distributed.
By the fall of this year, all Massachusetts motorists will be able to obtain the Striped Bass Conservation license plate through the RMV. Thank you for making this possible!
On behalf of the Massachusetts Environmental Trust (MET) and the Division of Marine Fisheries (DMF), we once again would like to thank you for your dedication and patience.
If you have further questions please contact Susan at Susan.Lanza@mass.gov or (617) 626-1068.
Are you interested in having a Striped Bass license plate?
Visit StriperPlate.org for more information.

The plate is for the state to promote Striped Bass conservation or a money grab? extending commercial days and conservation seem like conflicting state agenda items. curious what accounts the funds get deposited in….
Questioning the Goverment is no longer permitted. We must obey or we arent patriotic..havent you heard?( I share your disgust in case you couldnt tell.LOL)
Funds from the sale of this plate will be used to:
Study striped bass populations, stock structure, movements, and local ecology
Improve passageways for sea-run fish (e.g., river herring, eels), expanding forage food options for striped bass
Study angler practices to improve hook-and-release survival
Develop materials and programs to educate anglers about the importance of responsible angling strategies
