Big Ice Striper

Matt Strem had an unbelievable start to his ice fishing season, catching a 25-pound striper THROUGH THE ICE on Martha’s Vineyard.

Disappearing Doc

When the stripers are charging north in May, feeding on big baits like bunker and herring, the Doc topwater is plug tough to beat, and as our Instagram followers indicated, videos of big bass annihilating the Doc never go out of style.

Fluke in Pursuit

You’d never know just how many fluke could be looking at your rig if it weren’t for the footage of Joe Sansone, aka, Crackhead Fluke. We shared a couple of his videos in 2025 and, unsurprisingly, they were some of our most popular of the entire year.

Sharks Too Close for Comfort

Every season, more striper fishermen are encountering sharks on the inshore grounds of New York and Southern New England. The summer and fall of 2025 were no different, with boaters sharing footage of bass lost to the taxman, but the most unsettling footage came from the kayak and the surf.

Stripers on the Flats

When thinking of gamefish that prowl the flats, you may think of bonefish, tarpon, and permit, yet in some areas, striped bass will creep into shallow waters to feed. The sight of striped bass acting like a southern flats fish creates compelling footage, which is why these reels ranked among our most popular of 2025.

Lost Manatee

Wayward southern species always get a lot of attention, but these are usually southern gamefish like the jolthead porgy caught by a Long Island angler or the tarpon duo captured by a drone photographer off New York. However, the manatee spotted in Massachusetts this summer really caused a stir.

A Striper’s Great Escape

When it comes to stunning viral videos, it’s tough to beat the incredible footage captured by Sergio Diaz, showing a striped bass narrowly escaping the maw of a humpback whale.
