The Striper Cup Catch and Release competition is a great opportunity to win prizes while supporting The Striper Cup’s message of conservation, and the process is as simple as 1, 2, 3.
First, you have to register for the Striper Cup. Got that done? Good. Now, you have to catch a striped bass. Got that done too? Okay, now get your tape out and measure that fish from the tip of the snout to the longest part of the tail. Get a picture of the fish and send it back to the depths.
Okay, so now what do you do? You have options: you can post your photo to the Striper Cup Facebook page, Tweet it to @OnTheWaterMedia, email it to stripercup@onthewater.com, or submit it at StriperCup.com. Let us know your name, the length, the date, and if it was caught by shore, boat or kayak.
Just like that, you’re automatically entered to win catch-and-release prizes. And if you enter more fish (up to 10 per month) you have more chances to win!
One more thing – if you catch and release a striper over 30 pounds (weighed on a hand scale or estimated by length and girth measurements) and would like to receive a Pounder Pin, simply fill out this form at StriperCup.com.
Remember, you can register up to 10 fish per month in the Catch & Release division and it doesn’t count against your one weighed-in fish per week allowance!
I have a question , I caught a fish over 30 lbs but it was weighed and kept but not weighed into an official weigh station. Am I still eligible for a pounder pin if I send a pic or must be caught and released ?
