How come the finish gets spotty after some of my S. C. rods are left over night on my boat if it rains. I have to wipe them all down with a plastic polish to remove white spots,

As I get older fishing rods seem to feel heavier. I like to use live bait with rod in hand, I use live eels ,bunker while drifting for striped bass or while iam fluking. iam in need for a very lite but strong rod.
