I started fishing with the latest braided lines a few years ago. I’m amazed at the strength, farther casts, and lack of tangles. It does deteriorate after a couple of years but much longer than the old monofilament.
hey, don’t forget if your braided line starts looking old just take the old line off and do it so that you can re reel it onto you reel but this time start with the older end and when you finish you have the new end to fish with … i do this almost every time i get that old line looking braid… saves me a lot and I still have quality line to fish …
I do the same with my braid. I took two 3 liter coke bottles and put a 1/4″ bolt through the caps, I then use my screw gun to run the line on one bottle, then transfer it to the other bottle using the screw gun, then crank it on the reel, presto new line!

Seagar Braid is amazing fishing line.
If you use this Seagar Braid make sure that the rods have high end ceramic guides or the line will gouge the guides and then it will get cut causing the line to snap every time you go to set the hook
