Thanks to OTW reader Mike Taylor who put together this video of freshwater bass fishing in Western MA. Here’s how he describes the video in his own words:
“This is the 1st installment in a series of videos that I am working on. It’s hard enough to film nature let alone have nature cooperate with fishing and capture some amazing big bass on film. This was a 4 month project that I had filmed and edited all by myself and I am really proud to be able to take my love for filming from years of skateboarding to my one true passion in life which is fishing. The video was all shot in Western Massachusetts. The biggest fish taken was 6lb 14oz at end of the video. Enjoy!” – Mike Taylor

Mike great job on this video. you should be proud. I have followed you on facebook for a while now and you are the real deal. keep up the good work. you make fishing look cool.
Thanks!
I guess that is kinda cool 😉
Nice video, buddy!
great job great video. the waters you fish must have a healthy forage population for bass this large . I fish cape cod lakes with herring runs my largest bass on one of these lakes came from 35 feet and was caught on a hair jig not having a scale my estimate was in excess of ten lbs.
Good morning Mike, As you can see I’m an early bird, I’m going out for some Smallmouths Here on eastern Long Island, My son lives on the Cape, also in the USCG. I’m going to South Lee Ma. in late Sept. Can you tell of any places to Fly Fish or spincast for Bass or any thing in that area.
I fish any place I go. mainly the cape and eastern Long Island Both Fresh & salt water
Thanks
