UPDATE: Congratulations to Tony Fleck, winner of a Deep Purple Manic Prey Minnow, and John M. Vail, winner of a Green Mack Manic Prey Minnow. Please email us at feedback@onthewater.com with your mailing address.

With heavy-duty hooks and hardware right out of the package, the Savage Gear Manic Prey Minnow is ready for big striped bass. The lure measures 6 inches and weighs 1 1/3 ounces. It features a moving internal weight that allows for long casts, but doesn’t affect the frantic swimming action. Unlike most minnow lures, which float at rest, the Manic Prey Minnow is a slow-sinking lure that can target slightly deeper water.

The newly-introduced Manic Prey Minnow is available in seven colors that look great for saltwater fishing in the Northeast and can be purchased at your local shop for around $10.99.

The blue and the green mackerel are two great colors here in the mid atlantic states where I live and fish. You did however ask for us to pick just one color though. Based on my fishing experiences with different colored lures in the past, I would have to say that the green colored lure would be my choice.Green has been my go to color when all else fails.Tight lines and stay thirsty my friend!
