Congratulations to Nicholas Ranfone of Centerbrook, Connecticut. He is the May winner of the Striper Cup Catch and Release Sponsor prize package. By catching and releasing a 36-inch striped bass, Nicholas has won a brand new Quantum Blu spinning rod and Quantum Cabo spinning reel!
Remember, anyone entered in the Striper Cup (boat, shore or youth divisions) can submit released fish for Pounder pins and for C&R prizes. All you have to do is fill out the downloadable C&R form and submit it to stripercup@onthewater.com.
Overview of the Catch and Release Competition:
1) Released fish over 30 pounds (weighed or estimated) are eligible for pounder pins.
2) All Catch and Release forms, for stripers of any size, are put into a random drawing each month for a sponsor prize pack. You can submit up to 10 released fish over the course of the tournament.
3) You can also submit a photo of your catch-and-release striper for the chance to win the catch-and-release photo contest prize, a handcarved striped bass by Harwich Wildlife Artistry.
