Nantucket angler Elliot Sudal caught a 200-pound brown shark this past Sunday night in front of a big crowd on a Sconset beach. After reeling in a bluefish that had been suspiciously chomped in half, Sudal cast it back out and was rewarded with a big brown. Unable to pull the shark to shore using his rod and reel, Sudal then jumped in the water and dragged the shark to shore by its tail, causing quite a scene on the beach and stirring up interest from the national and international media outlets. Sudal is an avid shark fisherman who recently moved to Nantucket from Falmouth, and has reportedly been very successful so far this season.
