Big bass have been caught from Northern New Jersey all the way to New Hampshire. Right now is a great to time be on the water throwing big, time-tested bait for striped bass. In this Striper Season Update, Jimmy Fee and Kevin Blinkoff discuss some of the common striped bass myths, and the facts and fiction behind them.

If what you say about large stripers being the best breeders (I agree with you), then why do fish managers allow commercial rod and reelers to take 15 fish at over 35″ each per day? No one I have shared this with has been able to justify this “scientific” approach.
The state wants the revenue!
Sea lice indicate fresh fish or just fish that have been feeding on the bottom
I’ve thought that stripers eat only one kind of food per day. If it eats a sand worm in the morning it only eats sand worms the whole day. If the first meal is an eel then it will only eat eels that day.
