Jetties are one of the absolute best structures to fish around during open tautog season. The dark, submerged rocks often hold more fish than we anticipate as anglers from above. The jetty hosts a variety of life, but crab-crushing blackfish are most definitely a favorite amongst anglers across the Northeast. April is only a couple weeks away, and soon tautog will be on the feed again.

In this particular video, YouTuber and angler Dillon L. Fishing navigates the rocky waters around his local jetty in search of some tautog for the cooler. If there’s no jetty within reasonable distance from you, that’s okay; there are several other options for locating shoreline tautog before you chance stumbling over rocks.
